When Sustainability loses against personal interests

A week ago, Swiss citizen rejected 3 popular initiatives touching the topic of sustainability (reducing co2 emissions via compensation taxes; quality of water and food and use of pesticides in local agriculture).

As you can expect, the losing side did not wait to complain. “I am ashamed to be swiss”, “Are swiss people idiots?” are examples of comments I could read the day…
